Apple is an Equal Opportunity Employer. www.apple.com/jobs Position Description:The Manager for Worldwide Service Repair & Quality will manage a team of employees responsible for AppleCare repair depot and Service parts warehouse quality/process engineering.AppleCare is Apple’s premier Service and Support organization providing award winning technical support and service to our global customer base. Role reports to the AppleCare Service Engineering Director. Specific responsibilities include:1- Manages and leads a global team responsible for WW Repair Depot and WW Level 1 (Warehouse) service engineering activities. This encompasses all Apple and non-Apple owned service parts warehouses, including OEM/vendor owned service parts hubs.2- Accountable for Repair Depot process, test, and outgoing quality metrics. Primary leadership for all improvement activities related to Depot quality and in-process metrics. Supports quarterly Depot business reviews with external partners. Manages a team of on-site Depot engineers.3- Accountable for all Level 1 Warehouse activity and associated metrics related to process and outgoing service parts quality. Audits all WW warehouses to ensure compliance with established processes for parts receiving, processing, and shipping. Drives continuous improvement activities throughout the service supply chain.4- Owns WW service process for purges, ship holds, and quality/screening activities. Drives flawless execution and drives process improvement activities related to the process. 5- Accountable for all commodity screening activities for key service parts. Works with WW Quality teams to drive best-in-class processes related to commodity screening, failure analysis, and corrective actions. 6- Partners with others to provide technical and process leadership related to strategic quality improvement activities. Six Sigma skills a plus.7- Partners with WW Field Service Managers to periodically audit Service Providers and Retail stores. Drives feedback from audits into the rest of the service organization.The successful candidate will have 4-8 years Service/Operations /Quality related experience, preferably in a high tech or computer-related industry. The candidate must combine a working knowledge of world-class service supply chain practices, sharp analytical capabilities, and business savvy. Experience managing complex projects with tight deadlines is a requirement. Possess exceptional ability to execute.BS required; MBA and/or MS preferred. Perk #56: New ways to stretch your mind.
