(a pharmacy benefit manager), Walgreens Mail Service Inc., Walgreens Home Care Inc., and Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy LLC.The Manager of Application Quality Assurance is responsible for managing Quality Assurance for our suite of Homecare Solutions applications, as well as managing a team of individuals. This individual will also assist with providing testing services focused on requirements analysis, test planning, reviewing high level design documents, construction, execution, and evaluation of functional tests of system dependencies between/among Homecare Solutions systems, including use of test automation and performance testing. The Manager of Application Quality Assurance will also assist IT with Performance Monitoring, System Monitoring, and User Acceptance testing, continued implementation of ‘Best Practices’, resource and capacity planning and supervising individuals, both on site (Buffalo Grove) and remotely. The successful candidate will drive improvement and process changes within the group and will work with our development partners to ensure quality deliverables within established timeframes. Ability to travel to remote locations will be required. .Essential Skills:TASKS AND STANDARDS FOR POSITIONS:- Recommend resource allocation and financial requirements to achieve AIG goals.- Manage multiple project plans meeting with the Director, management and team members to provide periodic updates. - On a regular basis, work with team members to review requirements, participate in design sessions and provide quantitative cost/benefit analyses. - Review existing protocols and investigate / present / implement process improvement opportunities, so our QA / Development lifecycle is improved. - Manage individuals in multiple locations, ensuring established standards are adhered to, projects remain on target and Quality products are delivered to our user base.- Establish test / project plans.- Prepare project plans, test plans, test scenarios and conditions, create automated testing scripts utilized for regression and Load Testing. - Manage full lifecycle of QA role in software development and acquisition, including risk analysis, budgetary planning, capacity planning, pre implementation requirements, post implementation analysis. - Manage customer relationships.- Maintain a professional image in all dealings with personnel and vendors. Chair and participate on user/product development steering committees. - Work closely with vendors, establishing Software Entrance criteria, protocols have been adhered to and manage vendor relationships. Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Requirements•Bachelors degree in technology operations or related field•5-8 years progressive experience in application development•Nine years of experience in testing multiple projects and major components of large and/or complex projects is required•2+ years previous management experience•Previous experience in test management •Previous experience in test environment development •Excellent customer service skills•Broad knowledge of multiple technologies and a thorough understanding of platforms/applications or software products•Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills•Demonstrated success in managing customer requirements or demands •Proven ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously •Excellent attention to detail•Ability to get to the job site•Ability to work under stressful conditionsQUALIFICATIONS: Preferred •Previous home health care experience•Knowledge of or exposure to Capability Maturity Model (CMM)•Experience with Borland QA Tools.
