Our client seeks a Manager of Web Applications for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity at their Marina Del Rey, CA headquarters.

REQUIRMENTS: • Expert knowledge of Java/J2EE, .NET, HTML, and JavaScript • Previous experience managing a Web development team • 5+ years of professional Web development experience• Understanding of Web standards and limitations, browser and platform  compatibility, and best practices for coding and workflow• Working knowledge of SQL Server queries and procedures • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience

• Able to coach others on algorithms

PREFERRED SKILLS: • Knowledge of a wide breadth of Web-related topics such as release management, version control technology and Web servers• Work with an eCommerce platform and with ATG, in particular, a plus• In-depth familiarity with SOA, a plus• Previous direct experience with JBOSS, a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist the Program Manager by assuring that incoming requests receive time  estimation, prioritization, and developer assignment• Gather technical requirements and write technical specifications when necessary• Perform troubleshooting and dev testing of code across various platforms and browsers• Coach and develop a team of 5-6 developers working on several different systems utilizing a variety of different platforms and languages, though primarily Java

• Maintain a “hands onâ€� approach and have a direct role in programming, troubleshooting, and administration• Enhance existing process to ensure quality builds and releases
