Market Manager, Professional The Market Manager, Professional Products is responsible for developing, with his/her team, go-to-market strategies and solutions-oriented outbound marketing plans relating to the professional recording, post production and broadcast segments of the audio business. Specific product lines include Pro Tools|HD, ICON consoles, control surfaces, video solutions, loudspeakers, expansion options, application interoperability and service and support programs, with the goal being to successfully communicate the strengths and benefits of these products and workflows to the professional music and post markets. He/she also plays a key role as the integration point between Digidesign’s product marketing and marketing communications teams as well as working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Legal and Finance. Understand and constantly research market needs and competitive pressure by obtaining market data, gathering feedback from field teams and interacting regularly with customers Develop, document and communicate overall marketing strategy for the market segment by working with the sales, product marketing and Marketing Communications teams Drive the creation of product launch documents that include product messaging, marketing and sales objectives, target customer information, distribution details and an agreed-upon and properly resourced tactical marketing plan. Create technical deliverables such as white papers, workflow documents, internal product presentations Work with Marketing Communications to define strategic plans for events including customer seminars, trade shows, conferences, partner events and road shows Work with Marketing Communications team to act as expert resource in the development of content for presentations, sales guides, customer success stories, public relations materials and internal and external web sites Leverage blogs, references, online interviews, discussion groups and more to build community of passionate customers around product line Work with Marketing Communications to devise effective demand generation campaigns that inspire purchase of our products and raise awareness of our brands through e-marketing, direct mail, webinars, tradeshows, events and promotions Provide ongoing support to the Marketing Communications teams by performing reviews and approvals of marketing deliverables Regularly provide Marketing Communications group with updates on market trends, Digidesign’s current position in the segment and internal product development roadmap Qualifications: BA/BS preferred, or equivalent in music, audio engineering, business or related technical field required 10 plus years of high-tech product marketing experience in the pro audio industry, preferably within a professional studio environment Requires experience with Pro Tools and/or Pro Tools|HD Requires experience with a variety of digital and analog production equipment including mixing consoles and control surfaces, video solutions, loudspeakers Requires strong written and verbal communication skills. Requires technical knowledge including a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of professional studios. The role demands superior organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and the ability to make things happen in a cross-functional environment. Preference to candidates with proven knowledge and understanding of the major elements of the overall marketing mix.
