Medical Biller

NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Inc., a rapidly growing, publicly held, top-tier healthcare IT company based in Horsham, PA, provides computer-based practice management and electronic medical records systems to more than 1,500 physician practices across the United States.

We are currently seeking a Medical Biller to work in our Practice Solutions Department in our Horsham, PA, headquarters.  This person will be responsible for the daily processing of information for the NextGen Revenue Cycle Management operations. These tasks include the processing of patient data, produce/submit claims, payment posting, telephone inquires and A/R follow-up.

Data entry, including encounter/charge entry payment posting
Statement generation
A/R management Worklog Manager
Image scanning
Batch balancing field telephone calls from patients and insurance companies

Required:

Basic Windows and Microsoft Office experience 
Understanding of the medical billing environment
ICD9 and CPT4 code understanding
Operation of the NextGen EPM software related to duties
General knowledge of HIPAA and OIG policies, as defined in the NextGen Healthcare Manual

High School Diploma

 

 

Preferred:

Prior billing company or medical practice experience
National ICD9 CPT4 coding certification

Bachelor's degree
