Mid-Level SharePoint Developer:

The SharePoint Developer consults with and delivers solutions to our professional service clients, including the business sponsors, process/content owners, and technical teams.  Analyzes business processes by working with various levels of end users to document the requirements that will provide a solution to moderate to complex business problems using SharePoint.  Acts as the primary technical resource for the implementation of SharePoint (MOSS) 2007 collaboration and team sites in both lead and supporting team roles. Provide advanced-level SharePoint design work, custom development, product implementation (i.e. portal/site setup and configuration), documentation, and best practices consulting. This position typically focuses on the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint.

 

The SharePoint Developer is accountable for the following: In depth knowledge of the portal platform (SharePoint), methodologies, and standard operating procedures Design, development, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint installation including any customizations Assistance in troubleshooting Sharepoint system issues

Job Responsibilities:

· Facilitate gathering, analysis and documentation of requirements by interfacing with end users when necessary

· Design and configure SharePoint 2007 solutions

· Support existing SharePoint 2003 solutions, or the migration from 2003 to 2007

· Develop and implement workflow solutions using SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio

· Develop and implement InfoPath forms/Form Server Solutions

· Develop, implement, and support custom web parts and ASP.Net applications hosted in SharePoint

· Assess new and relevant SharePoint Services technologies including third party products

· Produces and interprets SharePoint performance trends

· Performs SharePoint sites capacity planning and alerting

· Develop and publicize standards and best practices in relations to the design and use of the MOSS framework

· Interface with functional team to ensure the functional requirements/design can be reasonably constructed

· Analyze requirements and present options to the client management and stakeholders

· Work closely with client stakeholders and management in defining and documenting the strategic roadmap for SharePoint

· Execute good judgment in identifying issues and recommending solutions to others

· Be willing to travel


 

Position Requirements:

Education:University - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience/training MCTS-SharePoint Configuration and Application Development certification is highly desirable

Experience:3+ years experience in SharePoint Technologies (WSS v2 & v3, SPS 2003 and MOSS 2007) 2-3 years development using various .NET architectural models Development of .NET standard code to customize MOSS 2007 to meet the functional requirements and design specifications of the business. In-depth knowledge of master pages, page layouts, web parts, and building customer workflows Database administration skills and experience with SQL Server 2005 as well as a proficiency in writing stored procedures and T-SQL Experience deploying customizations to test and production environments Strong knowledge of SDLC and Management Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required Time management skills are a must; as well as the ability to be flexible and creative Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:Project management skills and experience Multiple WSS or MOSS implementation experience Experience with integrating 3rd party systems with MOSS (such as SAP, Oracle/PeopleSoft)
