As a MySQL Database Administrator located in our Las Vegas, Nevada office, your primary mission will be to manage and administer the day-to-day activities of multiple MySQL databases, ranging in size from a few gigabytes to half a terabyte. You will:Leverage your prior experience as a DBA to monitor the performance of our databases, analyze and tune queries as well as maintain and enhance our backup and recovery architecture Partner with our developers to come up with solutions to problems inherent to an open source environment using your out-of-the-box mentality and knowledge of cutting-edge technology Utilize your solid Unix/Linux skills, including Shell scripting or programming in PHP, combined with SQL coding, to give you the knowledge necessary to create complex scripts and tools that will bridge any gaps in the database Apply your prior experience with MySQL replication, high availability and fault tolerant systems to ensure our databases function optimally
