.NET C# DirectX Software Engineer

They are currently interviewing Software Engineers to help develop a 3D multi-player network security simulation game. This is a cutting edge project with the potential for a lot of exposure within the federal government. This is a small development team lead by a talented software architect. Specific responsibilities include:

** Use object-oriented techniques to create discrete-event simulation applications
** Use Microsoft C#.NET and DirectX to create 3D virtual representations of real-world objects and processes
** Create and manage XML data sets to support simulation functionality
** Use XSL/XPath queries to construct data access modules to retrieve XML-based simulation data
** Apply 3D geometry concepts to construct complex navigation and visualization functions to support user interface functions
** Apply 2D animation concepts to construct heads-up displays (HUDs) to overlay in-front of 3D simulation displays
** Coordinate development efforts with Software Architect
** Participate in module design sessions with Software Architect
** Document technology functions and features as developed
** Support Quality Assurance team ensure that all delivered software accurately reflects the product design

Requirements
Candidates must have knowledge of advanced software development environments such as C#, .NET, DirectX, XML/XSL, and a strong understanding of current multimedia programming tools such as Flash, Active Server Pages, Java and JavaScript.

Candidates must have a strong technical background with demonstrable experience in the development of high-quality games and simulations. An undergraduate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering with at least five years of software development experience is desirable. Experience must include:

** Requirements definition and analysis
** User interface design and implementation
** Multi-tier application architecture
** 3D geometry concepts
** Database concepts
