Job Responsibilities

·  Work across functional boundaries and geographic locations to determine needs of the organization and translate these needs into sound technical solutions.

·  Participate in the development of a comprehensive E-Commerce strategy for Datamax Corporation.

·  Assume responsibility for the maintenance and new development of various systems utilizing VBA, Microsoft Access, VB.Net and ASP.Net

·  Participate in the development of a comprehensive current state and future state application roadmap.

·  Work collaboratively with others within the IT organization to support on-going business intelligence, intranet / extranet, and collaboration initiatives.

·  Assist business clients with questions or issues related to their use of the manufacturing information systems.

·  Convert business requirements and opportunities into concrete systems proposals including cost and schedule estimates. For those projects that are ultimately approved, lead the development and deployment into production.

Qualifications

·  Proficient in developing applications using Microsoft development tools. Demonstrated expertise in Visual Basic, SQL Server, MS Access, Active Server Pages, Microsoft .NET (VB.NET, ASP.NET), Visual Studio, Visual SourceSafe.

·  Proficient in web development technologies including ASP.Net, AJAX, and JavaScript utilized to develop web portals and extranet sites.

·  Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to work on a diverse scope of software and database projects requiring detailed analysis, creative and practical problem solving, and sound judgment.

·  Must demonstrate solid organization/communication skills and abilities to manage multiple projects within a short development cycle.

·  Demonstrated ability to effectively translate customer requirements into technical specifications.

·  Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, sharing ideas, skills, and knowledge. Cooperative and fair with coworkers.

·  Knowledge of software development methodologies and lifecycle.

·  Ability to creatively solve unstructured problems.

Education and/or Experience

·  Computer Science or other relevant degree, or work experience equivalent to formal qualification.

·  3+ years hands-on experience with VBA, VB.NET win-forms, ASP.Net, AJAX, and Java Script in a SDLC environment.

·  Experience in manufacturing environment preferred but not necessary
