.NET Developers - ASP.NET, SQL Server, Agile, XP, TDD

Responsible for developing web-based internet applications within this excellent work environment using the newest and most advanced Microsoft .NET and SQL development technologies available.  Our client, the hiring company, in Fort Worth is experiencing some growth.  This is a very nice employer, with an excellent work environment, sweet benefits, and a bonus.  The leadership and management do not believe in burning developers out with overtime.  Some advancement into development lead positions may be presented.  Use Agile, eXtreme Programming (XP), SCRUM, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Test-First Development (TFD), Feature-Driven Development (FDD), NUNIT, along with Team Foundation Server (TFS), Team System, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).  This position requires in-depth knowledge of ASP.NET and MS SQL Server.  Proficiency in VB.NET or C# required.  Willingness to code in VB.NET required.  Minimum 3 years experience in .NET

Essential Job Functions

·  Web application programming in ASP.Net with VB.Net and C# (.Net Framework 2.0/3.0/3.5), WCF using the Agile methodology, Scrum meeting, eXtreme programming and especially Test-Driven Development (TDD).  Develop complex front ends and complex backends utilizing VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server and other web/internet technologies such as web services, XML, AJAX, JavaScript.

·  Relational database work with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 consisting of tables, stored procedures, TSQL.

·  Perform technical analysis, design, development, and programming.

·  Adhere to programming standards.

Requirements

·  3+ years ASP.NET, VB.NET, or C# programming experience.  Willingness/desire to code VB.NET.

·  3+ years MS SQL Server experience

·  Experience with: MS Visual Studio.NET, ADO.NET, MS SQL Server 2000

·  Ability to develop complex stored procedures in TSQL.

·  Maintain a high standard of quality in daily functions.

·  We require someone to have some experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) – as part of the Agile and eXtreme Programming methods.

 

Other Skills/Abilities Desired

·  College degree (preferred) in Information Systems (preferred).

·  Prefer candidates with any Microsoft Certifications curriculum, MCP, MCSD, MCAD or MCDBA

·  Work experience in Microsoft web applications development, internet applications preferred, data modeling preferred, AJAX preferred, web services preferred, XML preferred.

·  Strong attention to detail.

·  Positive attitude towards change and ability to adapt.

·  Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·  Exceptional time management skills and ability to self-motivate.


Direct Hire.  Regular Full-Time Employment.  Salaried + bonus + training.

Salary range:  $75,000 - $95,000 per year + bonus
