.NET Web Programmer using DotNetNuke

Come grow with our expanding Web programming team at JL Systems.  We are a software house to the trade and professional association marketplace.  Our products integrate all association activities from membership to meetings, trade shows, publications, governance, fundraising, document archives, accounting and social networking.  The foundation of our work is vb.net within a DotNetNuke architecture using the Microsoft SQL database.

 

This position is on the team that develops and supports the Web site portal used by the association staff and the Web site portal used by members/visitors.  All programming is in vb.net using both common and custom controls as portals are built to client specifications.  DotNetNuke provides the framework and the Content Management System.  All data is stored in the MS SQL database which also contains business logic as views, stored procedures, triggers and constraints. Team members work from task definitions and directly with clients in establishing the Web portal used by staff and in creating the Web portal used by members/visitors.  Both portals use the same MS SQL database where all changes are immediate. 

 

The skills required for the position include a working knowledge of vb.net; ability to understand and work with large relational databases; the ability to author/modify views, stored procedures and triggers; and experience in working with the Microsoft SQL tools for SQL 2000 and 2005.  Knowledge of tools such as Visual Studio, Source Safe, DotNetNuke and/or Entity Spaces are a plus but are components where we will provide training.

 

The Web team members interact with all clients, the database staff, the support staff and management.  There is a need for strong interpersonal skills, a high fluency in English and a calm temperament.  There are multiple positions open to proven computer professionals at all levels.  JL Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
