NYS-Senior Business Analyst Position Description:Responsible for the development of system use cases; documenting system requirements; assessing business processes and evaluating software design to meet business requirements; assisting with quality assurance functions and system testing.Essential Skills Required:•A minimum of six (6) years experience in performing business process analysis and re-engineering.•A minimum of six (6) years experience in conducting JAD sessions, focus groups or Individual interviews; determining business, technical & data requirements; developing business rules; & developing metadata.•A minimum of four (4) years of experience in object-oriented analysis and design of which a minimum of two (2) years must have been in UML (Unified Modeling Language) using standard UML techniques such as use case, activity, sequence, class, and component diagrams.•A minimum of two (2) years experience working on Java application development projects. •Excellent oral and written communication skills.Nonessential Skills Desired:•Experience working on at least one (1) engagement within the last five (5) years dealing with health care facilities and having comparable requirements to this project.• Experience in business development & technical writing including proposal development, presentations, system manuals, training materials, etc.Hardware / Software Packages:MS Office Suite (Word, Visio, Project, & Excel) - RequiredRational RequisitePro or similar software tool - RequiredRational ClearQuest - DesiredPower Designer - DesiredRoboHelp – DesiredToad - DesiredEducation Requirements:4 year degree With 26,500 professionals, CGI is one of the largest independent information technology services firms in North America, providing end-to-end IT services and business solutions to clients worldwide.
