Neptune Test Engineer I

- Create and maintain test plans for assigned projects.
- Create and maintain test cases for assigned test efforts (projects and trouble tickets).
- Record and coordinate effort to resolve defects.
- Familiar with basic SQL scripting and Unix command line processing.
- Provide clear, concise communication to team lead and managers.
- Provide risk assessment information on outstanding issues.
- Represent test interests in project meetings.
- Support SQA processes.
- Support UAT efforts.
- Support Configuration Management processes.
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors in Information Technology, Business or Mathematics or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of software testing experience
- Familiar with basic SQL scripting and Unix command line processing
- Experience with a formal defect tracking tool (Remedy, Mercury Quality Center, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of software design life cycle
- Proficiency with MS office suite
- Highly organized and self reliant; active team collaborator
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Flexibility in daily planning

Preferred:
- Mercury Quality Center (Test Director) familiarity highly desired
- Telephony experience is desirable
- Some XML testing experience is desirable
- Some test automation experience is desired.
