.Net Development Manager/Architect Hedge Fund

Our client is seeking a high-energy individual to join the Application Development team.  The team goal is to develop custom software to support the front and back office of a 50 person hedge fund.  The team also supports integration with several vendor applications.  The candidate should be a dedicated problem solver who can multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

 

 

.Net Development Manager / Architect

 

ResponsibilitiesArchitect and help develop strategic applications including Real Time PnL and Global Security Master.Manage team of 3 to 5 developers on tactical and strategic projects.Provide support for current applications as well as strategic applications after deployment.Work with end users to understand business needs and help design technical solutions to problems.Integrate vendor software packages, i.e. Order Mgt System, with custom built applications and other vendor packages.Report status and progress to senior management of firm.

 

Required Skills4 college degree10+ years application development experienceExpertise in Microsoft .Net technologies.  C#, ASP.Net, Winforms, MSMQExpertise in designing and implementing multi-tier web and Windows enterprise applications.Expertise in Object Oriented development techniques, design patterns, SOA.Expertise in T-SQL and SQL ServerStrong business analysis skills and software development lifecycle knowledge.Experience managing small to medium size team of developers across large and small projects.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Professional personality comfortable around senior leadership.Proven ability to multi-task and manage tactical work with strategic projects.Experience with market data providers like Bloomberg helpful.Financial Services Experience required
