Network Admin/Engineer - Will Train in Network Security Systems

Rapid7 LLC, a leading provider of Unified Vulnerability Software and Services, is growing fast and offering opportunities at all levels.  We just completed our fourth consecutive year of doubled revenue and recently expanded both our Boston and Los Angeles offices.  This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Boston, located in the heart of Copley Square.

We are looking for a Network Administrator who will develop systems and applications to run our customer-facing production environment.   This is a unique job opportunity that will expose you to a variety of cutting-edge network technologies and will provide you with experience to accelerate your career.  You will leverage a broad set of tools including NeXpose, our award-winning Unified Vulnerability Management product and engage in security-related research in order to stay on top of the latest network security threats and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

· Bachelors Degree in IT or Computer Science or equivalent work experience

· Proficiency in shell scripting for UNIX/Linux

· Working knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems and/or infrastructure monitoring systems in multi-user environments

Plusses

· Experience with Blade Server Technology

· Knowledge of server virtualization products such as VMware
