Network Solutions Field Engineer

This position requires an experienced, personable and organized administrator with knowledge of operating system commands and utilities. The ideal candidate should be capable of training users to operate applications and operating systems and be comfortable communicating with end-users and company managers. This position requires response to occasional after-hours systems issues.  An MCSE or MCSA is preferred, but not required. The candidate will be responsible and accountable for the installation, configuration, operation and on-going maintenance of individual hardware and software components, workstations, servers, and the network infrastructure for our Clients as well have responsibility for our internal company network.

 LAN/WAN (SAN is a plus) multi-site networks, Windows XP and 2003, device drivers, Citrx XenServer and XenApp, RAID, DNS, VPN, remote access, and performance optimization. Use Active Directory, Ping, trace route, and nslookup. Configure mail servers, implement system installation and configuration, printers, and Active Directory. Install anti-spyware, anti-virus, and system backups. Entailsthe use of  VPN and remote access  LAN/WAN switching and routing for single and multi-site networks  Working knowledge of firewall solutions  Experience with wireless access point and controller based solutions  Voice over IP PBX experience is a plus. Knowledge of 3Com enterprise solutions also a plus.
