Oil & Gas Software Trainer

One of our major Oil & Gas clients, in Austin, TX, is seeking a quailified Software Trainer / Support person to start working ASAP. 

Responsibilities for this position include but will not be limited to:
- Writing / updating curriculum for software training classes
- Creating lesson plans for customized training classes
- Teaching training classes in off-site offices and locations
- Documenting new products and maintaining existing documentation for the clients software.
- Answering phone calls, emails and on-site visits supporting of our clients software.


Quilified candidates will exhibit the following characteristics:
- A bachelor's degree in communication, economics, finance, engineering, or mathematics
- Strong public communication / presentation skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access
- A working knowledge of databases
- Knowledge of learning and educational theory and/or training experience
- A comfortable understanding of mathematics (algebra, geometry, and basic calculus)
- A comfortable understanding of Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis
- A desire to travel domestically between 25-50% of the time.


The chosen candidates will begin in a software support position to learn our clients software and theory and then will be advanced into a trainer position.

Petroleum experience desiredengineering experience a plus.

Experienced teachers and trainers with strong math skills are strongly encouraged to apply.
