Microsoft.com has an opening for an editorial lead to manage content development and outreach strategies on its Home Page, corporate properties and related newsletters. The successful candidate will have deep editorial experience coupled with experience in related marketing communication disciplines such as branding, public relations, online marketing, or advertising.  We are specifically interested in candidates who can demonstrate experience and success in increasing reach and customer engagement online through compelling headlines, story selection and content programming. Key performance metrics for this position will be increased impressions for Microsoft newsletters; customer satisfaction with the Microsoft.com home page; subscriptions and open rates for newsletters; and optimizations that drive and prove the value of the Microsoft.com network. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:·  Daily content programming for Microsoft.com home page and network properties; headline writing; quality assurance·  Liaison with internal Microsoft marketers, corporate public relations team, vendors, agencies and ad teams·  Coordination with network programming, site management and production teams·  Analysis, reporting and communication of content opportunities and key wins to management and stakeholders·  Driving understanding of messaging and content strategy and performance metrics with cross-company teams Desired competencies and experiences:·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills·  Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment·  Self starter who can work autonomously and across teams·  BA required·  3+ years experience in editorial and marketing projects or programs Microsoft offers an excellent benefits package to full-time employees including medical, dental, vacation, employee stock purchase plan, and 401k, plus some great extras including: our 24-hour nurse line, stay fit program, product discounts, and paid infant care leave.
