Operations Application Consultant - TCBS/TCCUS (252677-618)

Open Solutions Inc. has a full suite of software products and services designed to allow banks, thrifts and credit unions to better compete in today’s aggressive financial services marketplace, and expand and tap their trusted financial relationships, client affinity, community presence and personalized service.

 

We seek an Operations Application Consultant, someone who will manage the conversion of client's operational functions, assisting client with training and workflow assessments to ensure all aspects of job functions are easily transitioned to new TCBS/TCCUS Open Solutions system, to work either remotely or in our Glastonbury, CT world headquarters office.
As an Operations Application Consultant, you will:

consult and provide recommendations as needed
define with client institution parameter and system settings, including security authorizations, branch/dept setup, cashbox assignments, employee setup, statement processing, and batch notices
handle setup, training, and monitoring of `batch' and/or nightly processing routines, and establish daily/weekly/month-end workflows
have direct responsibility for the planning, analysis, troubleshooting and client training in running of production batch processing
diagnose and recommend solutions to issues - provide consulting services to operational areas
have a solid understanding of banking business functions
perform other related projects and duties as assigned
travel 50% of the time or more.

To qualify for this position, you must have:

a solid understanding of banking business functions
at least five years of previous retail banking experience in a back-office data processing function
knowledge of data processing procedures helpful
previous experience with SQL database retrieval preferred
previous training experience helpful
previous conversions experience and workflow analysis required - a willingness to travel 50%
the ability to work under deadlines
a high school diploma or equivalent. Some study at the college level preferred
strong attention to detail
excellent oral and written communication skills.
