The person performing this job must be committed to developing loyal and successful relationships with the Corporate I.T. staff and the Functional Business Groups to provide the best possible services and products while exceeding their expectations.

This position is responsible for all activities required to provide a reliable, robust, and secure production environment for the Agilysys computerized databases. The primary databases are Oracle Enterprise DBs. There are also requirements to support Microsoft SQL databases. This position will be hands-on administrator being involved in day-to-day production issues, product upgrades and patches, performance analysis, disaster recovery implementation and other activities that may be necessary.

This position has access to confidential and sensitive information and a non-disclosure agreement is required to be signed annually.


Manages, monitors, & maintains the DB & Application environments to meet SLAs

Provide technical DB & Application support and guidance to the IT staff

Ensure Backup, Recover & Business Continuance for DB & Applications

Data Modeling for proposed and existing structures

Active hands-on member of development, support and maintenance projects

Resource and performance analysis and planning

Evaluate and minimize risk to DB & Applications
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or 7+ years of related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of Oracle database (11i) and Oracle application support (R12)
• MS SQL experience
• DB & Application design, configuration, performance and support in production environment
• Redhat Linux experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting Windows Workstations and MS Office
• Ability to successfully and consistently perform the duties and responsibilities listed in this job description
