Position:  Oracle Database Administrator/Developer

 

Description:  Database Administrator to support a large federal agency in enterprise data management programs. Duties include:  Database logical and physical design, design and programming of database triggers and stored proceduresDatabase performance monitoring and tuningMigration of processes from development to test and production environments, enforcement of established technical database standards Database back-up and disaster recovery.Work with application development teams and project managers. Report to cognizant government managers and to on-site CITI management.

 

Mandatory:  Five years’ experience in information technology, of which at least three must have been as a database administrator performing functions such as those listed above in an Oracle 9i (or later) environment.U.S. citizen. Qualified to obtain security clearance at the Secret level.Self-starter, able to take initiative and manage priorities among multiple demanding tasks. Must be able to work with customer management and senior technical staff. Excellent oral and written communication skillsB.A. or B.S. degree.

 

Desirable:  Knowledge of SQL Server, XML, Java, and/or .NET.Experience with Oracle Microsoft and IBM environmentsOCP and experience in Metadata Repository SoftwareExperience in data standardization, data quality, data dictionaries, metadata management, metadata repositories, data warehouses, data marts, and architecture for data sharing. Data security and system development life cycle (SDLC)Experience as contractor working on-site in a government facility.
