Candidate will provide support to a global mission. Other duties include, but not limited to: • Create, Import/Export database • Provide technical support and trouble shooting ability for all DBMS-related tasks • Ensure user problems are properly reported, analyzed, documented, and resolved • Perform daily maintenance to include system checks, ensure processes are running, and monitor system logs • Startup and shutdown processes • Backup and recovery • Create, drop, and alter user accounts and primary objects (i.e. tables, views, indexes, tablespaces, segments, snapshots) • Control and monitor user access. Grant and revoke roles and privileges. • Create primary database storages structures • Modify database structure to enhance performance • Write and edit UNIX and SQL scripts • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for new software • Install and upgrade database applications • Allocate system resources • Identify and plan future storage requirements for the database • Add or resize data filesREQUIREMENTS:    Requires an active TS/SCI or a TS with SCI eligibility Qualified candidate must have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with Oracle and Sybase (highly desired). Candidate should have a general knowledge of Oracle, Sybase (desired), Crystal Reports to include replication, SQL commands and statements, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). Position requires comprising a large variety of software applications. Candidate should have a general knowledge or familiarization with Remedy’s Action Request System (ARS), Sybase, and AMHS.
