Oracle Financials Business Systems Analyst (BSA)

Women and minorities encouraged to apply: Collaborate with IT functional, technical and infrastructure team in the implementation of Oracle applications to meet business requirements.
- Researches solutions for business requests and present functional and technical options to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce cost. These solutions could include modifications to the set up and configuration/enhancement of existing modules, implementation of new Oracle modules or business process reengineering.
- Plan, design, develop and launch efficient business, financial and operations systems in support of core organizational functions, interfaces, conversions and business processes.
- Defines alternative approaches and determines cost effective solutions to system problems using applications proficiency.
- Providing documentation for used cases in testing of systems. Works with testing team and developers to ensure all aspects of new systems adhere to user requirements
- Document business requirements; Interfacing between users and system developers to ensure accurate communications.
- Work with business partners in developing resolutions to business issues using system capabilities
- Ability to assess business and applications impact of system changes
- Assists in design process to ensure both business processes and designed systems are done in the most efficient manner possible.
- Take responsibility for system documentation.
- Participate in meetings to provide expert functional systems process knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate complex solutions to business users and partners
- Recommending the best practices to the management to increase efficiency and functionality and ensure the compliance with SOX
- Perform project related tasks or other related tasks as designated by the Supervisor.
- This is an on-site position.


Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Required:

- M.S. or B.S in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven record of analyzing complex problems to come to a straightforward solution.
- Direct experience with Oracle core financials.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the development, test and migration lifecycle.
- 10+ Yrs of relevant business systems supporting end to end business processes.
- Strong technical knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Workflow processes and Reports.
- Knowledge of Oracle schema structures of core Financial modules - GL, AP, PO, iExpense, iProcurement, Cash Management and Fixed Assets
- Knowledge of Open Interfaces for Oracle Apps.
- Operating System experience to include Unix and Windows environment.
- Must be customer focused and results driven.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (works well individually and as part of team).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a potentially rapidly changing environment.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies/skills, detail oriented.
- Enjoys problem solving and approaches them analytically and methodically
- Prepared to work weekends and off hours as required by the job.

Desired:
- Experience with large multifaceted companies and divisions desired.
- Assist other team members in understanding Oracle technology and design issues
- Knowledge of SQL, PL./SQL, Workflow, Discoverer, Java and other Oracle technologies to customize the eBusiness Suite.
- Experience in working with the PMO office.
- Ability to process and analyze data and interface tables.
- Experience with Unix shell scripting language.
