Oracle Financials Project Lead

Oracle Financials Project Lead

 

The Financials Project Lead reports to the Manager of Enterprise Systems and is responsible for the support, maintenance, modification and implementation of Oracle 11i E-business Financial applications in use at Ulticom. This position is also responsible for the management of assigned projects and for the direction of team members as related to these projects.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Project Lead for all projects involving new or existing Oracle Financial modules. Responsible for creating and maintaining project plans, meeting milestones, and completing projects with minimal supervision.

·  Lead project teams comprised of employees, consultants, and other technical or functional resources. Supervise and direct team member’s activities, provide technical guidance, perform knowledge transfer.

·  Provide high-level techno/functional expertise in the features and functionality for the Oracle 11i financial modules including AR, AP, GL, Purchasing, Project Costing, Oracle Time & Labor and Internet Expense Reports.  Evaluate user and departmental requests, gather business requirements and prepare Oracle Change Request documents.

·  Design solutions for Change Requests and document solution options such as modifications to the set up and configuration of existing modules, enhancements to or implementation of Oracle modules.

·  Work independently to estimate Change Request work effort and develop project plans for modification, enhancement or implementation projects.

·  Handle internal Help Tickets for the listed applications. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while working with end-users, Ulticom’s hosting vendor and/or Oracle Support. Document solutions to issues.

·  Use Oracle Metalink to search for solutions and open TAR’s when needed. Coordinate functional activities with Oracle Support.

·  Participate in large-scale ES projects. Complete project tasks assigned by Project Manager including set up and configuration of new, modified or upgraded modules.

·  Assist in the design, planning and conducting of functional testing. Develop and maintain test scenarios for project team and end users..

·  Prepare regular project updates and status reports for the Manager of Enterprise Systems.

·  Cross train and provide support for additional Oracle modules as needed.

·  Prepare and maintain training materials, documentation status reports, QA processes, procedures, and work instructions as assigned.

·  Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

·  Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

·  Minimum 10 years Financial or ERP application experience with background in functional business analysis, application implementation and end-user support.

·  Minimum 7 – 10 years of Oracle application experience providing techno-functional support including: requirement gathering, gap analysis, application set up and configuration, and end-user support. Must include experience with Oracle 11i version 11.5.10 or above.

·  Minimum 5 – 10 years experience supporting Oracle E-business Suite Financials. Must include experience with Oracle 11i version 11.5.10 or above. Must be familiar with AR, AP, GL, CM, Purchasing, and Project Costing modules.

·  Minimum 2 years project management experience including full Oracle implementation lifecycle and/or application upgrades

·  Working knowledge of Oracle Discoverer

·  Working knowledge of MS Project

·  Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

·  Experience with additional Oracle 11i applications including HRMS, Standard Benefits, Oracle Time and Labor, Internet Expense Reports

·  Good understanding of Oracle Order Management and the integration with Oracle Financials

·  Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL

·  Experience supporting Oracle in a Unix environment

·  End-user support and training experience
