We are seeking an experienced Oracle RAC DBA at our Redwood City, CAoffice; in a Customer Support role with skills as defined below.

 

Requirements:

 

·  Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

·  Total 10+ years experience as Oracle DBA with solid 9i & 10g experience, of which RAC experience should be 4+ years with all hands-on database administration activities.

·  Solid Database management experience with Installation, Upgrades, RAC Configuration, OCFS, RAC Administration, RAC Performance Management, Backup & Restores

·  Solid prior experience with use of RMAN, Enterprise Mgr DB-Control/Grid-Control use/administration, Statspack analysis, AWR and other DBA tool/utilities.

·  Total 7+ years hands-on exposure with one or more - Linux (preferably RedHat), Windows Server, Vmware ESX Server including installation & troubleshooting usage related experience.

·  Knowledge of scripting with PL/SQL, Sqlplus,  Unix shell required and other scripting languages like Perl a plus

·  Exposure to any Java based Application servers  (JBoss, Weblogic,Tomcat) administration and diagnostics in an Customer Support role is highly preferred

·  Multi-year (minimum 4+ years) experience working in an Production Support Operations / Customer Support role with experience using these technologies in troubleshooting, error diagnostics, performance tuning, etc especially around database, server, webserver and java based applications is essential.

·  Experience working with above technologies residing in a Production SaaS environment/customers is preferred

·  Hands-on experience with server (Dell, EMC) & network (Cisco FW’s, switches) hardware installation/administration is a plus, but otherwise a solid understanding and experience working with this technology based on prior exposure in a datacenter env is required.

·  Any awareness / Experience with Liferay portal, Mondrian (Microsoft MDX)  a plus
