Oracle USA currently has an opening for a Fusion Middleware Sales Consultant Location: Reston, VA Preferred Skills: This is an inside sales consulting position with very little travel. The position supports a team of 6-10 sales representatives. This opening is for a Fusion Middleware (FMW) Sales Consultant. FMW is Oracle's pre-integrated portfolio of mid-tier solutions ranging from Portals to Business Intellegence, Identity Management to application infrastructure and Process Design/Mangement to application development. Experience in one or more of the following is desired: application servers, BI tools, Java/J2EE, Service Oriented Architectures. Experience with Oracle products such as Oracle Application Server, BPEL Process Manager, BI Publisher, or BI Enterprise Edition or with competitive products such as Cognos, Business Objects, WebLogic or WebSphere highly desired. As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.[Specific responsibilities include:Job duties are varied and complex requiring independent judgment. May have project lead role. Minimum 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. Minimum 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in at least one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as required. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
