Specific job responsibilities include



  Direct Supervision of developersOversee work assignments, performance monitoring, actual work output, estimating work content and tracking actual time spent, managing cross-team dependencies and prioritiesAssign Project Leads for significant new work projects. Establish the project management approach and monitor workflow of .Net items for specific business units.Development of staffConsistent, ongoing mentoring for technology and business skills in order to develop long term successful employees, perform annual reviews, quarterly benchmarking sessions, establish individual coaching plansTeam meetings, One-on-One’s, brainstorming sessions, encouraging inter-team relationships and efficient communicationsCustomer ServiceOngoing communications with Business Department managers (or higher level mgt) to understand business needs and translate those into technical solutionsManage WO and project estimation of work content, testing, QC, etc. Technical OversightUnderstand the long term Oracle technology direction. Ensure projects and individual work orders are implemented with a focus on that vision.Project oversight and managementUnderstand the IT standards for Oracle development overall and set methods for applying standards and verifying that they are being followed.Participate in high-level design sessions with team members and architects when new techniques and new objects are being first created. Develop guidelines on what types of development issues need to be reviewed with the Architect. Technical Prerequisites § Ability to understand technical challenges and organize the team’s efforts to reach the best solutions. § 5+ years of Supervisory experience including staff performance reviews, hiring and mentoring new staff members, handling sub-standard performance coaching, and monitoring usage of team resources.§ Minimum 7 years working in an environment with large databases and enterprise database applications. Experience in the financial industry a plus.§ Extensive experience in Oracle technologies preferred (databases, stored procedures, PL/SQL, not applications).§ Familiarity with .NET environments, three-tier enterprise application development and current web-based methodologies a plus.§ Experience with project management tools a plus.


 

Additional Skills:



  Formal Project Management/lead experience a plus.Experience with VSS as a source code repository and versioning tool a plus.
