This position will reside remotely in Phoenix, AZ reporting into our headquarters office located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our business opportunities are expanding rapidly and we are seeking a person looking for a close-knit, fast-paced environment that will learn quickly and is customer-focused.
Summary
Working in a team environment, the Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for achieving all sales and revenue goals for an assigned territory by developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with customers and partners.
Role & ResponsibilitiesCollaboratively work with assigned Business Development Representative to develop an overall territory account plan in order to maximize opportunities and generate sales activity with customers and partnersAchieve/exceed monthly sales targets and gross profit quota by identifying, prospecting and qualifying new customers and selling through strategic partners in a geographic territoryLead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making process, and overcome objections to capture new business opportunitiesGrow and maintain existing customer and partner relationships in territory by utilizing question based selling methods to ascertain customers needs in order to craft relevant solutions encompassing software licensing and/or technology related servicesDevelop marketing related events, seminars, mailings, and call campaigns to increase brand awareness and presence in the local marketSubmit accurate and timely forecasts that are aligned with assigned sales quotasFacilitate all communications, order processing, and reporting of customer and partner transactions in territoryDevelop strong knowledge of leading industry trends such as electronic commerce, spend management, and technology initiatives by developing proactive professional relationships with software publisher representatives in assigned territoryBe the field resource to customers and partners for leading industry volume license offeringsEffectively communicate and present the Software ONE value proposition to all executive levels of an organizationPerform other duties as assigned by Software ONE management
Education and Experience RequiredBachelors Degree from four year college or university preferred3-7 years professional sales experience in high-tech or service-related industry with preferred successful software sales / software licensing experienceExperience in Solution Selling techniques with an emphasis on strong account and territory managementProven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotasAbility to build relationships and quickly develop trust with C-level executivesHighly motivated and results orientedStrong presentation, communication, organization, multitasking, and time management skillsSolid problem solving and consultative skills requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced team sales environment with minimum supervisionExperience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM database software
