PHP / MySQL Integration Engineer

We are a VOIP carrier who is looking for a talented and personable programmer for new projects.  The candidate will be responsible for maintenance and continued development of existing PHP/MySQL based applications as well as development for new projects.  Some of these applications will require implementation with other technologies such as open source VOIP platforms.The qualified candidate will be an expert in PHP and MySQL, and will have a broad understanding of web technologies.  The qualified candidate will provide support on existing web-based projects and will help implement solutions for new initiatives.

 

Required Skills:•    PHP 4 or 5•    MySQL•    XML•    Linux•    Basic knowledge of networking (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, etc)•    Strong problem solving ability•    Ability to document code•    Strong communication skills (written and verbal) •    100% Fluent in English•    At least 1-2 years experience in programming (PHP, MySQL)•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or MIS preferred.Desired Skills:•    Knowledge of VOIP (Asterisk, SER, other SIP appliances)•    Experience with Cisco network equipment•    Adobe Flash•    Linux and Apache administration•    CSS•    Server Administration and Maintenance•    Small business IT management experience a plus
