Payroll Administrator

Summary:

The payroll administrator works closely with both the Human Resource and Accounting departments to ensure the accurate management and recording of payroll records.  In addition, the payroll administrator also assists with various tasks in the Human Resource Department, primarily dealing with company new hires.  Reports to the Human Resource Manager.  The payroll administrator also oversees the administration and reconciliation of the corporate credit card accounts.

 

Responsibilities:Records all the company’s payroll information on a bi-monthly basis using ADP software. Distributes employee checks throughout the company. Manages all the company’s files pertaining to payroll, such as: W-4 forms, employee’s paid time off and 401k contributions. Keeps daily records of any changes to employee’s paid time off bank, on-call pay, weekend pay and commissions. Enters and keeps record of all employee performance reviews and making any necessary changes using ADP software. Records all payroll information in the company’s general ledger using Peachtree software. Manages accurate employee files and updates as needed. Assists in the Human Resource department by managing and entering all information coming in from newly hired employees. Order new Visa credit cards for new employees and cancels the cards for exiting employees. Acts as the liaison between corporate credit card holders and the bank which funds the accounts.  Assists employees with any issues employees face concerning the corporate credit account. Reconciles the Visa statements at the end of every month, keeping track of each employee through the use of excel spreadsheets. May be assigned other human resource and accounting tasks as needed by the respective department managers.

 

 

Qualifications:Must have 2-3 years experience working with ADP software. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel. Basic knowledge of accounting principles. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Highly organized and detail oriented. Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines. Must be able to use discretion with highly confidential employee and company files. Must be able to start immediately.
