PeopleSoft Business Analyst (GL, AP, AM, PO)

As a member of the IT Applications team, the Business Analyst will coordinate and drive to completion finance process changes often involving cross-functional areas of responsibility. Coordinate and drive to completion changes to the global financial applications required as a result of process changes, business changes and enhancement requests.

The Business Analyst will be the first point of contact for the finance super-users (finance managers responsible for specific areas of finance); he/she will work closely with the technical developer responsible for supporting/maintaining PeopleSoft Financials. The Business Analyst must have a strong appreciation for the system configuration, be able to answer questions from the finance group about the system’s functionality, evaluate enhancement requests and work with the technical team to resolve bugs.

The Business Analyst will assist in developing training materials and documentation for new application functionality.  Business Analyst will also provide application support to the users and be responsible for getting system issues/bugs closed.

Responsibilities: Work closely with end-users to identify and document functional requirements for enhancements/upgrades to the PeopleSoft system. Coordinate process changes with senior members of Finance.Coordinate changes to the Finance application with the IT Applications Group.Develop reports (nVision, Crystal, Query) for one time analysis and on-going use.Perform production support of PeopleSoft Financials – General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Asset Management. Experience with Accounts Receivable, Billing and Contracts will be a plus.Develop documentation and provide communication/training to end-users.Work closely with technical team to ensure the system solution meets the documented requirements. Develop, manage and implement a testing plan to ensure the system meets end-user requirements.  Use Mercury Quality Center to capture test scripts and test results.Ensure that user requests are continuously tracked as a means of identifying common problems that may require a global solution. Research, evaluate and implement “best practices” and optimal processes.Recommend changes in system applications and business processes where appropriate. Manage overall PeopleSoft application functionality requests.

Requirements

·  Extensive configuration knowledge (minimum of 3 years) of PeopleSoft GL, AP, PO and AM functionality, including multi-currency (all modules), VAT/GST (GL/AP), document sequencing (all modules) and alternate accounts (GL).

·  Experience creating nVision reports and Queries using PS Query tool or SQL+ (or similar GUI tools).

·  Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

·  Effective presentation and facilitation skills.

·  Ability to gather and organize business process and system requirements.

·  Strong interpersonal skills.

·  Self-motivated

·  Experience with PeopleSoft 8.0x.

·  Prior finance experience in a software company.

·  Have in-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft's Financial product suite and strong functional system skills.

·  Experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis and design, fit/gap analysis, functional design specifications, system configuration, development of system tests, procedures and documentation.
