PeopleSoft Technical Advisor (SIS experience required)

Description:
IT Manager sought to manage groups currently working on the University’s PeopleSoft Student implementation: in the following areas:
-  the technical infrastructure
-  development and reporting
-  conversion and Interfaces
The project team is working with a primary implementation partner whose implementation methodology we are using. 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Primary responsibility is to guide the technical staff and the project team through the implementation of PeopleSoft and associated custom components including reports, interfaces, enhancements, etc. This role will direct groups responsible for reporting, custom development, and establishment and maintenance of hardware and software infrastructure. Evaluation of business requirements for technical feasibility and oversight of custom design work also falls under this role. IT Manager also recommends data standards and guidelines for ensuring the security of the environment. Experience managing a large technical team including developers is essential.  Individual must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Other:
Preferred candidate will possess the following: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of PeopleSoft systems, architecture and tools, experience in implementing a SIS. Oracle 10g RDBMS, Sun Solaris and Linux experience, web server administration are all highly desired. Demonstrated expertise in Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQR and Process Scheduler preferred. Experience and knowledge of service oriented architecture also preferred.  We would like to fill this role immediately. We are open on salary and are more concerned with hiring a strong fit.
