Performance Engineer
HTECHKG61851 Senior Performance and Scalability Test EngineerJob Description: A Performance and Scalability Test Engineer is responsible for measuring and describing the behavior of systems. They create and execute modular, reusable tests using Segue Silk Performer within our controlled performance lab. The goal is to identify performance and scalability concerns and present solutions. Responsibilities: Work with internal and external customers to develop test requirements Develop test plan to measure defined requirements Define resources (hardware, software, data, level of effort) required to execute plan Develop and execute test cases using Segue Silk Performer Create summary documentation of both individual tests as well as summary documentation to distribute to internal and external customers Maintain status communication within project team Develop new tools to improve the efficiency of current processes or add additional utility to the team. Senior engineers are expected to test independently, show initiative, and mentor more junior engineers.Qualifications: Strong analytic skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to work with customers to collect project requirements and disseminate results Strong documenting skills – able to both summarize test results into simple concise summary reports and create thorough descriptions of test configurations and data analysis Requirements: 3 years+ performance work 5 years doing QA. 5 yrs Performance and QA methodologies (dev test plans, ID and document bugs) 2+ yrs Segue Silk Performer or 2+ years experience w/similar automated load-testing tool. (Test tool experience must be at code level; experience with record and playback is not sufficient) Prior experience performance testing 3-tier/n-tier web systems using IIS, SQL Server and Windows NT/2000 is required.
