Job Description:

 

This position will provide technical selling support to the Americas sales team out of the Irvine office. As a Product Specialist-Place & Route, you will be contributing to the success of a team of specialists and account managers by increasing the deployment of Mentor Graphics Place and Routing products in North America accounts.

The Product Specialist will be responsible for: Enabling customers to use and deploy Mentor Graphics family Place and Routing products in pre and post sales situations. Assisting Account Managers to determine sales execution strategy by identifying and qualifying the match-up between customer needs and Mentor Graphics products.Supporting sales activity with product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive benchmarking. Providing technical support to customers including technical problem resolution and training. Communicating customer’s technical requirements to product marketing. Assisting customers with their software evaluations and benchmarks.

 

You will also be responsible for managing all related sales activities within your region including pricing, forecasting, analyzing and reporting on sales. The ideal candidate will be located within the Irvine market area and have existing relationships within the region. Overall knowledge of our customer base, partners, engineering firms and other technology service organizations is invaluable. Previous EDA experience strongly preferred.

 

Requirements:

 BSEE Required. MSEE Preferred. Requires 10+ years of industry experience in Place and Route. Hands on experience with place and routing tools in system. Must be technically proficient with a successful background in software/hardware sales programs. Must have a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated success within a software sales environment and a proven track record of promoting and supporting of sales growth and new business development are required.Must have a clear understanding of competitive products, excellent communications skills and have a high motivation to learn leading edge technologies.Must be creative, persistent, and possess problem solving skills that avoid project stalls.
