SNAPin Softwareâ„¢ develops self-service software for mobile phones.  The SNAPin SelfService product suite lets operators deliver their own branded service experience to their subscribers, generating incremental revenue and dramatically reducing the costs of providing customer support.

 

Job Summary:

This position is part of the Embedded Development group and will be responsible for design, implementation and porting of SNAPin’s client handset software to a wide variety of mobile phone platforms. Performs bug verification and beta support for software projects with strong understanding and analysis skills for successful porting of applications.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Actively designs, develops, and implements embedded software applications for a wide range of handset platforms.Primarily responsible for the porting of these applications and libraries on a wide range of mobile phone handsets.Participate in OEM partner consulting, system analysis and system design, considering platform architecture, configuration and existing applications.  Some travel is required.Perform analysis and troubleshooting for debugging applications; working in conjunction with Development and QA in optimizing the code base and solving platform specific issues that arise.Work well both individually and as part of a geographically diverse product development team.Partner with QA to deliver high quality software on schedule.Assist and support OEM’s on porting applications successfully to devices.

 

Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field.Previous experience with mobile phone OS highly preferred.Very strong C/C++ skills with a strong desire to fine tune,develop and port software to various mobile platforms.Excellent oral/written communication skills and ability to work across functional areas and drive consensus.Strong debugging and demonstrated problem solving abilities.3-5 years professional development experience.Strong research, creativity and analysis skills.
