Job Title: Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant

 

Department: Sales

 

Mandate/Role: Responsible for all aspects of the technical sales process.

 

Role Overview:

 

As a key member of the sales team the Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant requires a complete understanding of all CDC Responds products and components with the ability to identify and communicate the key USP’s of our solutions to prospects, customers and partners.

 

The Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant uses real consulting skills to build an intimate understanding of our prospective customers' business problems, objectives and priorities. The candidate must show an ability to map these customer needs to CDC Responds solutions and convinces the customer of the business benefits of the solution through interaction, correspondence, proposals, presentations and demonstrations throughout the sales process.
 

 

Responsibilities:  Solid analytical skills are required to enable the Pre Sales Executive to analyse business requirements and match the appropriate CDC Respond solution as part of a consultative selling campaign.

 To help identify/develop/prove the business case for the CDC Respond solution

 To manage a bid from early engagement to closure from a Pre-Sales perspective.

 To ensure highest completion standards in the business sections of tender documentation in conjunction with the Sales / Account Manager.

 To design, develop and conduct demonstrations and presentations highlighting CDC Respond product features and business usage to prospects.

 Ability to customise demonstrations to the needs of specific prospects / campaigns

 Assist the account managers in all stages of the sales process, including responding to RFP’s and architecture design and implementation discussions

 Technically illustrating how the CDC Software product suite enables organisations to increase revenues

 

 

Primary Skills:

 Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills.  The candidate must be comfortable presenting to senior board members of target organisations as well as large groups. Excellent proposal / technical writing skills

 Analytical / Problem Solving with a clear ability to breakdown complex technical concepts

 Planning and Prioritisation skills.

 Excellent interpersonal skills

 Knowledge of the sales process

 Strong professional presence

 Application development, data modelling and relational database skills

 Working knowledge of MS SQL Server (or Oracle)

 Good web application knowledge (inc. HTML and Java)

 3 to 5 years experience in a related position

 

Education:   Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience Industry specific qualifications an advantage
