Principal Consultant - SAP Specialist

The Informatica SEAL Team supports our Professional Services organization through enablement, leadership. In addition our SEAL Team provides customer escalation and targeted short term project work with customers and partners. As a SEAL Team SAP specialist you will gain valuable technical and consulting skills in SAP, PowerCenter and related connectivity. In this role you will deepen your technical and consulting skills to be the SAP voice for Informatica Professional Services. You will be the primary interface between R&D and Professional Services in driving new product functionality and enhancing existing product functionality. It is important that in this role that you possess technical aptitude, strength in written/verbal communications, ability to create and deliver technical education and client management skills.

Job Responsibilities:

SEAL Team Principal Consultant focusing on SAP is responsible for highly expert technical services, training and mentoring on Informatica products, which may include:

• Providing Input to Product Management in any of the business units to both address current SAP related product shortcomings, evolve new capabilities for emerging capabilities, and assist with the roadmap for new products and features.
• Execute short term billable project assignments in both strategic projects and customer escalations to ensure success rates for both customers and sales execution.
• Develop and manage necessary training materials to broaden SAP skills in Informatica’s Professional Services Group
• Execute Quality Assurance (QA) Assignments to ensure project success and increase referencability on SAP related engagements
• Lead knowledge management activities to encapsulate knowledge and provide a foundation for successful SAP project execution
• Mentor less experienced staff to assist with technical SAP related questions/issues and provide input for future training activities
• Providing special services (for example, performance-related configuration or other "proof-of-concept" work) for Informatica internal projects or for partners or for customers in billable or non-billable situations
• Developing white papers, presentations, or documentation on SAP related topics

Required Skills:

Bachelors degree required
Demonstrated experience with Data Integration
Minimum 4+ years of consulting experience

Expertise in SAP systems including skills in the following areas:

• ABAP Development
• Transport Mechanism
• SAP Security
• Experience with IDOC, BAPI, LSMW, BADI, Solution Manager, BW/BI, XI
• IMG Understanding
• Expertise in at least one functional area

Able to present and address complex architectures and development issues
Able to present and resolve complex project needs
Expert level knowledge in SQL and ODBC Connectivity
Expert in at least one natively supported RDBMS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Should be willing to travel globally, in particular to our R&D facilities
Willingness to travel 75%
