Principal/Consulting Engineer– File System and I/O Subsystem Engineer

This individual must have 5 or more years of software development experience in C/C++ on Windows and/or Linux platforms. The engineer will be working on SeaChange's core systems development on the MediaCluster product line. Our products include development on distributed Network Cluster Systems for Video on Demand, Broadcast and Storage products.
Requirements:
In particular, the candidate must have knowledge of several of the following:
· Distributed computing environment with C/C++ experience
· Strong operating systems and driver development background, including Windows, Linux, or UNIX
· Software development and in depth knowledge in one or more of these areas: File systems, Network drivers (Windows NDIS, TDI), Windows I/O subsystems, Windows Miniport/Storport drivers, RAID/Storage, SATA/SAS Disk Drivers, RAID Controller (LSI)
· Experience working on real-time video systems including security, medical, VOD systems, MPEG encoding or video delivery is a plus
· Development experience with networking protocols, sockets, UDP, and TCP/IP
· Networking experience with switches, router, Mellanox Infiniband, OpenIB, OpenFabrics, Remote DMA (RDMA), Sockets Direct Protocol (SDP), TCP/IP, Ethernet, ATM
· Storage technologies in RAID, EMC, SAMBA, CIFS, SMB
· Embedded systems development experience also a plus
· Strong oral and written communications skills
· Experience with full software product lifecycles including specifications, design, coding, testing and debugging
· Recent systems/software experience with complex development cycles that span multiple release versions
· Self motivated team player with a positive/can do attitude
· BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
