Principal Java Software Engineer - JavaSwing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a senior level software engineer to propose, develop, and enhance strategic components and features for MATLAB's Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Using Java programming skills, OO design knowledge, and multi-threading development experience, you will design and develop framework and API code to evolve and enhance the MATLAB development environment. This position involves working as part of a cross-functional team to actively contribute to functional requirements, software design and architecture, coding, and testing.

Responsibilities:

 

· Advance the existing framework to provide leading edge capabilities

· Work with internal and external customers in refining the requirements, priorities, and features

· Contribute at all levels of the software development cycle including architecture, design, implementation, and testing

· Adhere to high quality coding and testing practices

Qualifications:

 

· BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or math

· Proven skills in software architecture and object oriented design

· Java experience (6+ years)

· Swing experience (3+ years)

· Multi-threaded application experience

· Experience working with MATLAB a plus

· Experience developing application frameworks a plus
