We seek a high-energy, experienced software engineer to join a team developing the industry's most manageable video delivery and content storage solutions.

 

Job Requirements:

 

This individual must have 5 or more years of software development experience in C/C++ on Windows and/or Linux platforms. The engineer will be working on SeaChange's core systems development on the MediaCluster product line. Our products include development on distributed Network Cluster Systems for Video on Demand, Broadcast and Storage products.

 

In particular, the candidate must have knowledge of several of the following:

 Distributed computing environment with C/C++ experienceStrong operating systems and system management development background, including Windows,  Linux, or UNIX Software development and in depth knowledge in one or more of these areas: Network management applications (SNMP, WMI, CLI), Element Management Systems GUI (Java, .NET), Security & Authentication (RADIUS), RPC (XML, SOAP, WSDL)Familiarity with third-party network management development tools and agentsFamiliarity with real-time video systems including security, medical, VOD systems, MPEG encoding or video delivery is a plusDevelopment experience with networking protocols, sockets, UDP, and TCP/IPNetwork Management experience using IETF and Telecomm standardsProject leadership & management of product design issues including:Review and incorporation of customer requirements and feature requests into product development and project plansLead the design and implementation of system management framework across a complex distributed system Project management of individual contributors, including mentoring, code & design review.Work with cross-functional storage & video engineering teamEmbedded systems development experience also a plusStrong oral and written communications skillsExperience with full software product lifecycles including specifications, design, coding, testing and debugging Recent systems/software experience with complex development cycles that span multiple release versions Self motivated team player with a positive/can do attitudeBS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
