Apple is an Equal Opportunity Employer. www.apple.com/jobs Position Description:The US Regional Buyer team in Corporate Procurement is seeking an energetic, positive, self-starter with five years experience as a Purchasing Agent/Buyer.Responsibilities include:• Review R&D and Indirect Purchase Requisitions and process Purchase Orders implementing procurement strategies, policies and procedures.• Participate in supplier selection and negotiate prices to generate cost savings• Conduct eSourcing events using reverse auction technology such as Procuri or similar. • Work professionally and effectively with difficult suppliers and internal customers providing superior customer service and harmonious customer relations.• Must be dependable and possess a strong work ethic.• Must demonstrate the ability to deal positively with redundant work that requires a high attention to detail and the exercise of sound judgment and decision-making.• Provide leadership and participate in a collaborative fashion on cross-functional process improvement teams. • Some demonstrated experience successfully managing projects desirable. • Experience with SAP MM Purchase Order functionality. • Ability to read and interpret contract language. • CPM certification desirable.Candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Technology or Engineering plus a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Agent/Buyer in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment.
