Reporting to the Director of Sales Support & Development, the Product Specialist's primary role is to support the sales organization by providing product demonstrations, technical knowledge and application expertise throughout the sales process (pre and post sale); contributing to the overall success of the sales organization in both new business and add-on business sales events, including general capabilities presentations (customized to the particular selling situation) and trade shows post-sale meetings and adoption seminars.
Core Responsibilities:
1.) Product Demonstrations:Trade Show demos Introductory/ General Capabilities demos Customized mid-sale process demos Customized Bake-off demos
2.) Providing technical knowledge:Related to installation of product/ presentation of data in product Types of integration available to pull and push data in and out of PK General knowledge of clients and prospects installations for purposes of building credibility/ sharing anecdotes
3.) Developing and updating sales tools: Demo tools Documents Items as requested by sales rep
4.) Trade Show support, including set up and breakdown as lead contact
5.) Pre-sales client demo product distribution, training, and support
6.) Translate customer requirements and constraints into viable solutions - understanding the customer workflows and problems and finding ways to mirror/ solve them in the PK software
7.) Assist the sales team in developing:Statements-of-work - assisting sales exec to interpret prospect/ client requests and applications to meet their desired needs Responding to RFP's Positioning products in a complex environment - helping sales exec to determine best demo, anecdotes, etc to support the discovery work when they are called in to a meeting
8.) Track relevant industry trends and maintain a close relationship with product development to keep abreast of new product initiatives and releases
9.) Insuring maintenance and operability of sales system, working with PM to facilitate upgrades and speed/ availability of system and communicating updates/ changes to sales team
10.) Work with Regional Account Managers to participate and assist when requested with client kick-offs, go-lives and adoption seminars as well as any post-sales adoption/ add-on opportunities
11.) Sales product training including:New Hire training All Sales Demo bi-annual demo competency program New product education New use cases/ client benefits from using PK Business Case as it pertains to the demo Sharing experiences, use cases, value and questions between executives and prospects
12.) Communicating product requests and/ or questions from clients and prospects to Product Management and then back to Sales Executives
13.) Agility in meetings, able to identify a unique customer need on the spot and demo a solution in PK; ability to follow the direction of the customer and make adjustments to demo or presentation mid-stride
14.) Self-directed continuous education in:PK product functionality Market trends Business of our customers and clients New and innovative uses of our products at various clients Required Experience
