You'll be responsible to merge customer needs and great new technologies to make our products even better.Position Description: The Product Development Specialist for Dow Jones SalesWorks reports to the Business Champion of DJ SalesWorks within the Product group. The group seeks an interaction design specialist to help ensure that design solutions incorporate the best possible user experience. This position will be involved in requirements analysis and writing functional specifications for development. In doing so, the Product Development Specialist will work closely with the Manager of Product Development, Product Managers, Design Group, Developers and Product Testing Group. This role will also engage with customers to understand evolving market needs and turn direct market feedback into development plans.Position Requirements:• 1-3 years of Internet product development or project management experience in online information services or e-commerce environment• Experience in wireframing and determining the best user experience required • Working knowledge and personal interest in current web 2.0 technologies such as wireless, podcasting, audio and video content strongly preferred• Experience defining internet products or information retrieval technologies• Ability to collaborate with product managers and other business stakeholders to understand business requirements and to them functional requirements• Ability to multi-task and prioritize is essential• Ability to research, analyse and understand internet technologies• Exhibits solid problem-solving and analytical skills• Excellent written and verbal skills are required • High level of initiative and self-motivation; goal oriented• Persistence in resolving customer/product issues.
