Product Manager - Enterprise Software

Harmony Information systems is a leading provider of software solutions for the health and human services sector.  Founded in 1998 and privately held, Harmony is building an innovative, rapidly-growing business in the multi-billion dollar market for Health and Human service IT solutions.  Traditionally served by established System Integrators offering costly, highly complex solutions with long implementation lead times, this is a large market ready for new solutions.  Harmony’s deep domain expertise in this market, combined with its quick delivery of customizable software solutions has resulted in significant customer wins and positions Harmony well to continue to lead the market and drive rapid company growth.

 

Position Purpose

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the successful creation, launch and adoption of Harmony’s enterprise framework offerings for the human services sector.  The individual should have a strong background in instituting product management planning and processes and driving software product commercialization. The individual will be responsible for directing all phases of the product lifecycle related to Harmony’s enterprise framework offerings from market definition through the release of the product through the end of the product life cycle. This position reports into the Vice President of Marketing.

 

Responsibilities:Lead company product management efforts to commercialize Harmony’s enterprise framework offerings Work to prioritize and integrate market requirements, key features functions identified and defined by the Harmony Solutions team into the enterprise framework roadmap, product plans and release Work closely with Harmony Development team to drive and manage enterprise framework development through the complete product life cycle Establish product management planning, processes across the company Lead product rationalization, migration, integration efforts across merged company product portfolio Leverage internal resources to deliver timely product releases that meet or exceed the needs of the market and customers Identify customer enhancement requests that answer to aggregate market demands and translate requests into product features that translate into detailed specs Provide required sales support throughout the product life-cycle Lead training activities to educate staff in issues relevant to Harmony products, new releases, etc.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing - an MBA is strongly desired 7-10 years minimum relevant work experience in product management, product development or business development within a technology company The candidate should have a strong knowledge of strategic planning process, broad analytical and research experience, and excellent presentation and communication skills.   Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously Ability to present complex issues or situations simply  Strong experience in development and execution of business strategies and key initiatives Highly motivated self-starter, able to take charge and “get things done” in unstructured, highly dynamic environment Excellent understanding of enterprise software and/or IT services space, especially the SaaS and Application Outsourcing market Outstanding communication skills, a strategic mindset, an ability to interface at an executive level and a polished presence are required Extensive experience in product positioning and competitive analysis Superior people skills, in order to gather product information, facilitate evaluation processes, and perform business development functions Proven leadership skills, with ability to manage a team of employees in addition to providing cross-functional leadership throughout the organization Ability to collect, aggregate, organize, and analyze data Willingness to travel
