PRODUCT OWNER/TECHNICAL PRODUCT MANAGER - Software

We are seeking a sharp, innovative Product Owner (Technical Product Manager) that can understand and prioritize customer, sales, strategic, and market requirements and transform them into shippable code that is delivered to production every eight weeks.

Responsibilities include:

·  Aggregating input from customers and all stakeholders to form a single view of the prioritized requirements for Rally’s enterprise Agile lifecycle management application.

·  Working with our customers, engineering team, product marketing team, and support team to define and rank the strategic and tactical backlogs.

·  Defining acceptance criteria for requirements.

·  Working with the team on a day-to-day basis and during release and iteration planning.

·  Prioritizing features according to market value.

·  Accepting or rejecting work results.

·  Representing the interests of the business in development team discussions.

·  Working with sales team to help close deals.

·  Assisting in training customers and sales on new features.

·  Teaming with support to resolve issues from customers.

·  Tracking competitors and the market landscape in general.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and attributes:

·  5+ years experience as a product owner, product manager or program manager in a successful commercial, software environment. Will consider broad software experience such as developer, architect, development manager, or technical sales.

·  Prior experience in an Agile development environment.

·  Directly participated in multiple new product development efforts.

·  Proven track record of successfully working with engineering to deliver high-productivity, customer-focused software by providing design leadership, functional specifications, prototypes, feature/issue prioritization, documentation, and test plan reviews.

·  Success working directly with stakeholders through various channels for requirements gathering, roadmap discussions, feature/issue assistance, and support cases.

·  Prior experience with a requirements management or product management tool

·  A basic understanding of portfolio management practices.

·  Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills.

·  Ability to influence and gain buy-in for initiatives.

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
