Job Description: Product Release/Configuration Engineer
Location: Detroit (Southfield Office)
SUMMARIZED JOB DESCRIPTION
. Responsible for Product Release Management of Software products and source-code version control activities
. Create and maintain build and install/deployment scripts for various products
. Maintain an existing Windows and Unix platform tool suite configurations. Install, configure, and implement all new engineering
REQUIREMENTS
. Proficiency in creating build and deployment scripts using Installshield, Installshield Universal, VC++ and Java
. Experience with Installscript, Javascript / VBscript, Visual Studio 6.0 and 2005
. Experience with automated Software Configuration Management tools such as VSS or equivalent
. Working knowledge of multi-platform environment including Windows, Unix and Linux.
. Administrative experience with Visual Source-Safe
. Good understanding of any Software Development Process Model such as CMMi, ITIL, Agile, or equivalent is a plus
. Two or more years experience installing/configuration of J2EE (JAVA) applications a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least three to four years of experience in a related discipline
. Requires excellent analytical ability and communication skills - You need to be able to convey ideas clearly and effectively
. Ability to work flexibly to accommodate rapid release and hot-fix schedules
. Candidate must work well in a team environment, participate in peer reviews, be able to work independently or under close supervision
