The Opportunity:

 Position Title:  Product Support Specialist

Summary:

The Product Support Specialist (PSS) is responsible for a variety of technical customer support activities related to MeVis Medical Solutions’ computer hardware and software products.  Technical customer support activities include phone support and troubleshooting/remote diagnostic support of digital imaging workstations and image processing servers.  The PSS is also responsible for coordinating the preparation of system configuration files and remote demonstration of MeVis computer software products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide telephone support for questions/problems related to MeVis Medical Solutions products Perform troubleshooting and remote diagnostics of customer systems Perform remote installation of software updates/patches in accordance with customer service contracts  Process image data from prospective customers and prepare demonstration cases in accordance with customer preferences  Report problems, which cannot be resolved remotely, through appropriate MeVis service/complaint systems Establish relationships with service personnel within diagnostic imaging system and PACS system manufacturers Assist MeVis sales and field service personnel as required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Excellent computer and computer networking skills Excellent customer relations skills Good working knowledge of Windows XP operating system Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) Good electrical/mechanical/computer troubleshooting skills Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communications skills
Experience/Education:

Associate degree in a technical/computer field or equivalent experience 2 years experience in a customer support role with technical products Familiarity with diagnostic imaging equipment Experience with Microsoft operating systems
