Autotask Corporation is seeking highly motivated consulting professional to join one of the fastest growing Software as a Service companies in the Northeast as a Professional Services Consultant in our Professional Services and Business Optimization department.

Job Summary:
The Professional Services Consultant will have knowledge of the Information Technology (IT) Service Provider Marketplace, be able to learn and understand the technical aspects of the Autotask product, and provide guidance on how Autotask will support, automate and optimize critical business issues facing our customers. The consultant will have excellent presentation skills to deliver Business Optimization consulting and training curricula to customers in multiple formats, including live on site and on line.

Essential Responsibilities:
Successful Professional Services Consultant will perform the following primary duties: Support the sales team when more detailed solution requirements are identifiedIdentify opportunities where professional service offerings will ensure customer successWork with sales and prospects to create associated statements of work and price quotes Deliver business process best practice consulting and training to customers, onsite or remotely, based on statements of workDocument consulting engagements as required and hand off to client services team for ongoing support Assist product support team in supporting customersProvide feedback and execute continual service improvement methodology

 

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have several of the following skills and experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in an IT Service Provider or IT Managed Service Provider business as an executive, manager and/or some type of operational capacityKnowledge of IT best practices such as ITIL V3 and ITSMTechnical skills including a proficiency in learning and using software along with  familiarity with hardware devices such as servers, desktops, laptops, switches, routers, etc…  Familiar with time and billing applications and service ticketingKnowledge of project management workflowsProven ability to manage and develop ongoing client relationships Experience determining customer requirements and creating functional specifications or statements of work Technical and business presentation and/or training experience Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and writtenKnowledge of MS office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio and OutlookPro-active problem solving skills and an ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a technology-based start up environment Must be able to travel anywhere in the world, but primarily in the U.S. and Canada May need to work after/before normal hours based on customer needs

 

Education Requirements:

BA/BS in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
