We are currently recruiting for the following position at our corporate headquarters in Belcamp, Maryland.

 

Professional Services Engineer

 

Summary:

We are looking for Professional Services Engineers to implement data privacy solutions that SafeNet sells to enterprise customers. The Professional Services Engineer is a technical role with customer facing responsibility. The person in this role will work in a small, dynamic team of individuals with experience in application development, databases, and security. This individual will be expected to work with both customers and sales, capturing customer requirements, defining and scoping implementations, and engaging with technical prospects to explore and propose infrastructure and deployment strategies.  Many projects will include integrating SafeNet’s encryption technologies into existing customer environments and therefore the amount of development and design work may be limited.  Much of the emphasis will be around recommending best practices for implementation and project management.

 

 

Qualification Requirements:

 

Education: B.A./B.S. degree required (Computer Science, Information Services or a related field)

 

Experience: Some professional work experience with one year as a sales engineer preferred

 

 

 Skills:Takes pride in high quality, on time, delivery Reliable, trustworthy and dependable Excellent inter-personal skills Independent, high energy, flexible and self-motivated Strong Project management and coordination skills1-3 years programming experience (familiarity with Java, C++, XML, Oracle, SQL Server, or other databases)Ability to present technical information to technical and non-technical customers.Ability to document requirements, and to write technical response papers Experience deploying web servers, java application servers and database servers is desirable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:  Design and develop solutions for SafeNet technology to be deployed into environments where sensitive information needs to be encrypted. Supports the sales process, working closely with sales to develop the technical footprint and to demonstrate the technical value of our solution to qualified prospects. Provide feedback on general product enhancements requirements to product management and provide technical input to the engineering organization. Willing to travel approximately 40-70% of the time.
