Professional Services Java Application Consultant

In the role of Professional Services Java Application Consultant, you will be a member of our consulting group that delivers Java based solutions to our end user customers and partners.  You will be represented to our Partners and End Users as being an expert in the use and modification of the Kofax Transactional Capture suite of products.   Duties Include: * Maintain proficiency in the Kofax Transactional product line including Kofax Document Scan Server, Kofax Document Exchange Server, Kofax Ascent Capture, Ascent Capture Internet Server.* Be able to configure the core Kofax Transactional Capture application suite.* Make custom modifications using the Java programming language. * Provide technical feasibility of project requirements, best implementation approach and reasonable time estimates.  * Integration of Kofax products at end user sites (including configuration, customization, on-site installation, training, technical documentation as well as remote phone support during implementation).    Qualified candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years of prior successful experience in development or consulting.  2+ years J2SE or J2EE professional programming experience for enterprise environments.  A thorough technical foundation in current enterprise appplications technology with Solaris/Linux/AIX operating systems, Weblogic or Websphere application servers, Oracle or Postgres databases, XML, networks along with  are a must.  Ability to work unsupervised in a customer environment and 25% - 50% travel is required.
